About the Position

The Engineer, Ameren IL Metering and Projects, designs equipment installations, provides technical support, and evaluates processes and equipment. Limited travel is expected.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Specifying equipment requirements and designs.

  • Providing technical support, administrative assistance, and training on equipment and processes.

  • Monitoring developing technologies to ensure that equipment is the most up to date, cost efficient, and safest equipment available.

  • Evaluating and testing processes and equipment.

  • Enhancing safety, reliability, productivity, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

  • Assisting key stakeholders in maintaining equipment inventory.

  • Internally supporting vendor software applications, including the creating and updating of meter programs, instructions, and job aids.

  • Reviewing generation and energy storage systems to ensure they are accurately metered and meet all safety requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or General Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Recent graduates will be considered.

  • E.I.T. (Engineer-in-Training) certification, or P.E. (Professional Engineer) registration preferred.

  • Experience with electronic instrumentation a plus.

  • Experience with relational databases and/or SQL a plus.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Good analytical, decision making, and communication skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; Working effectively as part of a team and independently; Adaptability and flexibility; Knowledge of energy measurement.

Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include candidate testing and/or an individual aptitude or skill-based assessment. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation Range:

$69,300.00 - $168,000.00

  • This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials.

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
