Free Press Publishing Lincoln County Reporter in Davenport, Washington
If you're a journalist who enjoys a rural lifestyle, we have an opportunity for you. Free Press Publishing is looking for a reporter/photographer to lead our coverage at the Lincoln County Record-Times, a weekly newspaper serving the communities of Davenport, Odessa and Reardan, Wash.
The position is truly general assignment, covering three towns, three high schools, two hospital districts, sports and more. With offices in Davenport and Odessa, we have a loyal readership that expects in-person coverage (remote reporting is not an option).
Lincoln County is a great place to live. Enjoy a lower cost-of-living than most of Washington state. Here, neighbors still help neighbors and traditional American culture is proudly on display. Despite the rural nature of the area, our offices are just a short drive from Spokane, Washington state's second largest city.
The successful candidate will be able to write compelling stories, take photographs and juggle multiple beats, as well as managing Record-Times social media and working cooperatively with reporters at our other community publications.
