  • This job is a member of the Maintenance Operations Control (MOC) team within the Technical Operations Division.

  • Responsible for providing management and oversight of aircraft maintenance support by our Maintenance Providers (MP) at our class III and IV line maintenance cities.

What you'll do

  • Sources and selects Maintenance Providers (MP) to support AA maintenance needs at class III & IVstations

  • Facilitates contractual agreements and adherence to in support of AA maintenance operations.

  • Provide oversight and performance of MP’s to meet AA standards of efficiency and compliance.

  • Ensure the MP and AA station personnel are prepared to support AA maintenance activities.

  • Be actively engaged in all maintenance activities for the stations under your responsibility and offer supportand or guidance to the MP, MOC, and local AA station personnel.

  • Review delays and seek improvements for operational efficiencies and meeting station metrics.

  • Approve all maintenance invoicing for services provided to AA per negotiated contractual rates and terms.

  • Establish and maintain MP AMT AA ID and training accounts.

  • Coordinate to ensure MP AMT training is always current.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelors degree in relevant field

  • Minimum 5 years Line Maintenance experience in a production and or managerial capacity.

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • FAA A&P license

  • Familiar with vendor maintenance support and requirements

  • Extensive working knowledge of CFR’s and Company procedures / policies for MP support.

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Ability to be innovative and creative to address issues and proactively prevent problems

  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and tasks

  • Familiar with AA’s policy / procedures for line maintenance support and requirements.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse work group and interdepartmentalenvironment

  • Proficient in AA/Tech Ops computer systems and software applications (MS Teams, Word, Excel,PowerPoint)
