This position is within our Operations Performance and Analytics department and is focused on two key Corporate Strategic Objectives for our business: double down on operational excellence and passionately drive efficiencies.
The primary focus of this position is to drive structural performance improvements by leveraging advanced analytics and process structures to identify root cause performance drivers.
What you'll do

Focus on translating analytics into actionable insights and developing our performance improvement plans in partnership with Operational leaders in Tech Ops, IOC, and Hubs.
Partner extensively with frontline Operational leaders to identify opportunities and drive step-function operational performance improvement.
Mine, model, analyze and evaluate operational data to identify root cause factors impacting operational reliability
Leverage data analytics tools including SQL, SAS, Python & R to automate internal algorithmic procedures and develop processes to ensure forecast integrity of operational models
Design, create and monitor results from solutions that are implemented via data visualization tools (Tableau & Power BI)
Develop presentations and present findings with recommendations to key stakeholders and senior management across the company
Interact with other departments including Network Planning, IOC, Airports and Crew Planning to understand their business problems and processes
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline including Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics and Computer Science or other related field
3 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Master’s degree in related field
Experience in airline operations or operations analysis
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Proficient in SQL
Knowledge/basic experience of data processing/manipulation languages such as R and Python.
Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and Databricks platforms
Experience with data visualization in Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Python, or others
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with an aptitude for problem solving
Demonstrated experience in taking complex analysis and turning them into actionable insights
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the organization as well as external contacts
Adaptable, comfortable with unstructured work and occasional shifting priorities
Excellent project management and organization skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at a time
Ability to work effectively, meet deadlines, and shift priorities appropriately in a fast paced, dynamic work environment with great attention to detail
