Select, adapt, or modify teaching methods or materials that experience indicates will be most effective in teaching the assigned grade level(s) and subject matter. Support, counsel, and motivate students to meet or exceed grade-level standards. Adhere to and, when applicable, implements safety and security procedures; contribute to creating a school climate conducive to learning, achievement, and citizenship. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: U.S.Citizens The Preferred applicant will need to meet the below qualifications: A major in physical education or a minimum of 24 semester hours in physical education. Coursework must include a methods course in teaching physical education at the elementary level. A minimum of 9 upper level semester hours in physical education is required. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
