Job Description

A week in the life of an AEGIS SPY Radar Trainer:

  • Provide dynamic teaching, training and assessment up to the officer level.

  • Review and analyze U.S. Navy Aegis Combat System Engineering Capabilities and Limitations and U.S. Navy Operational and Tactical doctrine

  • Integrate and conceptualizes the execution of Doctrine .

  • Conduct dynamic assessment of the sailors’ abilities.

  • Observe and assess contemporaries during Practice and Certification Teaches per requirements NAVEDTRA 130 series.

  • Prepare, review, and customize curriculum lesson plans and instructor guide.

  • Support Course Reviews and Curriculum Updates.

  • Conduct training gap analysis.

  • Document the training conducted with specifics of the individual areas / watch station.

  • Generate formal assessment of measure of success.

  • Establishe and review course content and objectives.

  • Conduct training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • Secret Clearance

  • Travel may be required up to 10% of time including ship embarkment for 5-10 days.

At least six (6) years of experience:

  • As either a maintenance technician supervisor or operator supervisor with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task

At least one (1) year of experience:

  • As an instructor in a Navy Training Environment

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $65 - 75K. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
