Role Objective Calibrates and adjusts instruments to meet conformance standards, cGMP compliance. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Provides oversight of calibration technology focusing on precision, accuracy, cost, compatibility to environment, availability, reliability, and procurement of gauges Reads quality control manual specifications and test manuals to obtain information on performing testing and calibrating activities on specific device Sets up, activates, and operates standardized test equipment to measure accuracy of device being tested Performs traceable calibration procedures according to established standards Troubleshoots and diagnoses faults with gauging equipment Performs and organizes repair and maintenance of gauges and related equipment Maintains calibration standards Develops and implements training for gauge users Confers with engineers, supervisor, and other technical workers to assist with equipment installation, maintenance, and repair techniques Education and Experience Associates degree in Metrology or other engineering/technical specialty or equivalent specialty training or certification, including five (5) years' experience in a metrology lab Strong mechanical, electronic, and measurement science skills and experience are required Working knowledge of the use and maintenance of calibration artifacts a must Ability to use and write calibration procedures a plus Basic PC skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, and Access) required Strong interpersonal skills a plus Competencies Being Resilient Collaborates Cultivates Innovation Customer Focus Drives Results Supervision/Coordination Reports to Supervisor Role Type Mostly On-Site - 80%+ on-site work Physical Requirements Maintenance Mechanic Travel Requirements Overnight Travel - sporadic - required.
