AC Wellness Network LLC is a subsidiary of Apple Inc. and is the dedicated management services organization (MSO) for AC Wellness, a dedicated independent medical group that serves Apple Wellness Centers in Santa Clara Valley. Our mission is to deliver the world’s best healthcare experiences for Apple employees. The MSO is looking for an extraordinary Backend Engineer with a background in large scale engineering projects. You will enjoy building services that Data Science and Application developers will leverage to shape outstanding experiences for our employees and customers.

Description

As a Backend Engineer, you are ready to tackle big problems, enjoy working in an agile and multifaceted multi-functional team, love data, and want to make a huge impact in health. Some of your characteristics include: - Experience building highly available and fault tolerant systems - Proven track record of shipping services in production environments for consumer facing products - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Experience handling performance, application and security log management - Strong coding experience and capable of picking up new languages - Outstanding analytical thinking to solve challenging problems This is a site-based role.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience crafting and implementing modular, composable services, using state-of-the-art technology stacks

  • 2+ years working on highly available, high-volume, low latency services at scale

  • 2+ years experience with AWS w/ container services (specifically with k8s)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with software development tools on Linux

  • Partners well in and across teams

  • Works well in a self-directed environment

  • Comfortable with weekly on-call rotation

  • Nice to have experience handling Pen Testing and Secure Applications

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
