Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop robust and scalable manufacturing processes for Apple products Home and Power products including HomePod, AppleTV, and more. Design experiments using mathematical methods for complex partial factorial designs, statistical analysis of trial data. Leverage an understanding of stamping, molding, forging, machining, additive processes, plating, anodization, surface treatments, coatings, and other standard processes. Work with Industrial Design, Product Design, and Operations partners. Perform project management functions, working with international teams and vendors. Explore and introduce new manufacturing processes. Present findings to drive key operational decisions for manufacturing operations. International Travel Required 25%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $119,900 - $181,000/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Using statistical design of experiments (DOE) to reduce sample size and ensure total understanding of manufacturing system interactions
Interpreting statistical significance and applying engineering principals to enable decisions to modify manufacturing process or drive design suggestions to enable products
Using statistical analysis tools, like JMP, to determine statistical significance between two or more means
Detecting differences in variance as well as correlation and regression testing
Using Milling, Turning, Polishing, Anodization, Plating, Blasting, and Assembly methods, including gluing, HAF application, and automation
Using Metrology, including OMM, CMM, 3d scanning, and FTIR, and assessing potential impact on data or drawings
Applying Machine Design of datum structures as related to manufacturing system design
Compiling statistical information to support manufacturing operations from global data teams and distilling data for targeted presentations and stakeholders
