American Woodmark Receiver (Fork Truck Driver) 2nd Shift in Cumberland, Maryland
JOB SUMMARY: The Fork Truck Driver will operate a battery powered fork truck to move pallets from trailers to the floor, scanning inventory, and ensuring a safe work environment at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accurately interpret manifests, documentation, paperwork, and labels
- Maintain familiarity with plant layout and pallet placement
- Identify all cardboard components and stock locations
- Perform routine maintenance safety checks on fork trucks
- Identify and process damaged or flawed material in lieu of stocking
- Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to identify wood species, finishes, and color variances
- Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Valid drivers license
Required Physical Ability:
- Prolonged periods of sitting and use of repetitive motions
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 20lb, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lb
