About the Role: As an LPN in our Labor and Delivery Unit, you’ll play a vital role in patient care. You’ll collaborate with our healthcare team, exercising sound nursing judgment based on your expertise, knowledge, and competency. Your responsibilities will include:

Collaboration and Assessment:

  • Participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care using focused assessments.

  • Communicates with licensed professional nurses and the healthcare team to seek guidance when necessary.

Scope of Practice and Safety:

  • Seeks instruction and supervision for new or unfamiliar nursing practices.

  • Adheres to established policies, procedures, and LPN Practice Guidelines.

  • Acts within the LPN Practice guidelines, including IV administration.

Patient-Centered Care:

  • Creates a healing environment within the framework of Relationship-Based Care.

  • Formulates daily goals and holistic care plans, involving patients as partners.

  • Effectively communicates patient conditions to other care providers.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Incorporates national professional organization goals to enhance patient safety and quality.

  • Actively participates in unit activities and supports fellow care team members.

  • Seeks feedback, applies continuous improvement, and engages in ongoing learning.

Collaboration and Relationships:

  • Partners with the healthcare team and patients to achieve desired outcomes.

  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships internally and externally.

  • Demonstrates cultural understanding and accountability for healthy relationships.

Work-Life Balance and Safety:

  • Maintains a conscious balance between work and personal life.

  • Models safe work hours, time management, and a healthy lifestyle.

  • Communicates safety hazards to peers and management.

Qualifications:

  • Valid LPN license in the state of Maryland. LPN must maintain state licensure where they are practicing or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.

  • CPR or BLS

  • All levels of LPN experience from Graduate Practical Nurses to experienced LPNs are invited to apply!
