Job Title: Service Technician
Job Description
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and rebuild or modify equipment. This includes power transmissions, chain and belt drives, cams, bearings, motor control circuits, drives, and PLC systems. Reassemble machines and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation. Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and company vehicles, including oil changes, brake replacements, and minor repairs. Facilitate repairs with approved external sources when necessary. Perform upgrades or changes to equipment as needed. Conduct daily safety inspections on forklifts and other equipment, complying with documentation requirements. Repair or replace broken or worn parts. Suggest and implement ways to improve maintenance efficiency. Follow company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance on company vehicles, including oil changes, brake replacement, and minor repairs.
Facilitate repairs beyond personal skills with approved external sources.
Perform upgrades or changes to equipment as needed.
Conduct daily safety inspections on forklifts and other equipment, complying with documentation requirements.
Repair or replace broken or worn parts.
Suggest and participate in efficiency improvements for maintenance or machinery.
Follow company policies and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
A 2-year technical degree in electricity or electronics or trade school is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience diagnosing and repairing large manufacturing equipment.
Comfortable troubleshooting Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
Proficient in building maintenance and HVAC.

Work Environment
This position is based in a large and hot equipment manufacturing shop. The shop operates from 5:00am to 5:30pm (Monday to Friday) and from 5:00am to 11:00am on Saturdays. Standard working hours are from 6:00am to 2:30pm when in the shop. The role requires around 80% travel nationally and may require some overseas travel.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Benefits include competitive pay, health, dental and life insurance, tuition reimbursement, 401(K) with company match.
They also have a HSA and FSA for employees (Benefits are attached). Double Time paid after 50 hours worked.
