DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: POSITION SUMMARY The Verification and Validation Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all verification and validation activities to ensure that products, systems, or software meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves leading a team of V&V engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing best practices to achieve high reliability and performance of products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership and Management: * Lead, mentor, and manage a team of V&V engineers. * Develop and implement V&V strategies, plans, and procedures. * Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives.

Planning and Execution: * Develop detailed V&V plans, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts. * Oversee the execution of V&V activities, including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing. * Ensure thorough documentation of all V&V activities, including test results, defect reports, and validation summaries.

Collaboration: * Work closely with product development teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and design specifications. * Collaborate with quality assurance and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. * Coordinate with external vendors or third-party testing services as needed.

Quality Assurance * Ensure that V&V processes comply with industry standards, such as ISO, IEEE, FDA, or other relevant regulations. * Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance V&V processes and methodologies. * Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential quality issues.

Reporting and Communication: * Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on V&V activities, progress, and issues. * Prepare and present V&V findings and recommendations to stakeholders. * Maintain clear and effective communication channels within the V&V team and with other departments.

Technical Expertise: * Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in verification and validation practices. * Apply advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex V&V challenges. * Ensure the use of appropriate tools and technologies to support V&V activities, such as automated testing tools, simulation software, and defect tracking systems.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in verification and validation, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in V&V methodologies, tools, and techniques. Experience with automated testing tools and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.

Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB, CMMI, or Six Sigma, are advantageous.

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
