Aerotek Maintenance Electrician in Conroe, Texas

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This position will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems at the site. The technician will also work on high-level electrical equipment such as PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs.

Responsibilities

  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.

  • Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

  • Troubleshoot or repair machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.

  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools. Operate cutting torches to cut or join metal parts.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of electrical experience working on PLCs

  • 3+ years of mechanical maintenance experience

  • Ability to set up and operate basic, manual metal fabrication machines

  • Ability to utilize calibrated precision measuring instruments

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Troubleshooting and repair skills

  • Preventive maintenance skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Welding experience is a plus but not required

  • Ability to work on PLCs whenever the machines stop working

  • Professional demeanor and language is required

Work Environment

Climate-controlled manufacturing and warehouse facility. First shift hours are Monday through Thursday from 5am to 3:30pm. Must be open to working overtime if needed on Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conroe, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
