Actalent Microbiology Technician in Congers, New York

Job Title: Microbiology Technician

Job Description

Perform microbiology and particulate testing of products and processes, including work in a clean room and WFI loop, by following all specified quality documentation. Conduct environmental monitoring in manufacturing areas, track and trend test results, and perform bioburden sampling in controlled areas. Assist in investigations related to Lab OOS (Out of Specification) and support Production OOS investigations. Support plant and customer quality continuous improvement teams. Assist in the equipment qualification for the new quality lab and in method transfer & method validation.

Hard Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Chemistry or related field

  • 6 months - 1+ year experience in a GMP micro lab

  • Testing/Lab Experience: Endotoxin, Bioburden, Environmental Monitoring

  • Aseptic Technique

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

  • Supportive team member for continuous improvement efforts

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Congers, New York.

Work Environment

Mon-Fri 8am to 4:30pm with availability to work overtime and weekends as needed. Work locations include Clean Room/Microbiology/QC Laboratory in the Injectables Dept. Reporting to the QC Lab Manager.
