Application Support Engineer / Logistics Applications BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Application Support Engineer for an opportunity in Columbus, OH 43215 Position Title: Application Support Engineer / Logistics Applications Location: Columbus, Ohio Anticipated Start Date: July 15 Expected Duration: 6-12 months (with possibility of extension or conversion) Job Type: Contract, 40 HRS WEEKLY, Hybrid Pay Range: $44/hr. - $46/hr. Job Description: Requirement: * L3 & L3 Production Support Analyst working on Logistics Application Support for one of the US based Retail providers. * Strong problem-solving skills with good communication skills, ability to work under pressure with a high sense of urgency. * Looking for someone who is proactive, self-driven and able to identify improvements as part of the BAU work to address recurring issues, close monitoring gaps, and automate/reduce manual work. * Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution Key job responsibilities * Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the application systems in operation, including tasks related to identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation. * Responsibilities also include root cause analysis, management communication and client relationship management in partnership with Infrastructure Service Support team members. * Responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members and or acting as a subject matter expert. * In depth Functional knowledge of the application(s) supported and interdependencies. * This position should typically be used for an advanced or lead level resource. * Ask customers targeted questions to quickly understand the root of the problem. * Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits. * Talk to clients through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat, until theyve solved a technical issue * Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers). * Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals. Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time. Must-Have skills for the role: 1. Manhattan TMS 2. Manhattan WMS 3.
