Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Columbus, Ohio
Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. The selected candidate will play a key role in our accounting department, handling data entry, utilizing Excel for various tasks, and maintaining financial records in Salesforce and NetSuite. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process data entry related to accounting tasks
• Utilize Excel for functions such as copy-paste and VLU
• Maintain and update financial records in Salesforce and NetSuite
• Process and track requests for funds, ensuring all necessary approvals are received
• Handle Accounts Payable duties, which make up 75% of the role, including cutting checks and tracking outgoing funds on spreadsheets
• Create a couple of journal entries per month and upload them to the appropriate system
• Accurately code charges and ensure all financial information is saved online
• Use the PNC web portal for processing wish cards
• Manage a paperless system until checks are processed. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
• Experience with creating and managing Journal Entries
• Demonstrated ability in Expense Reporting
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in the use of relevant accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Commitment to ethical professional standards
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
