Thermavant Technologies LLC Thermal-Mechanical Engineer I/II/III in Columbia, Missouri
The successful employee will be able to devise experiments and analyze results, develop 3D models using SolidWorks, work on a project from conceptualization to completion, and write technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with customers and project leads to fully understand product requirements and develop cost effective and innovative solutions
- Design and develop components based on product and customer requirements
- Create solid models, parts, assembly, and inspection drawings, as well as product travelers
- Design products that fit our manufacturing capabilities
- Ensure compliance with company standards
- Material procurement as required; place purchase orders, manufacturing work orders, and work with vendors to manage delivery schedules
- Develop laboratory test plans to ensure compliance with customers key product characteristics
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain security clearance as it applies to ITAR and EAR regulations
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- Prior experience creating 3D models and drawings with SolidWorks or other CAD software
- Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Skills
- 5 years of research experience
- Experience designing and running thermofluids experiments in a laboratory environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing operations (CNC milling, turning, TIG welding, Laser Welding)
- Experience with programming in Python, Matlab, or other language
- Experience with data acquisition and test automation in a laboratory environment including LabView :::
