Job Title: Controls Installer
Job Description
Position Overview: The role of Controls Installer entails working on-site, operating under the direct supervision of the site superintendent, in close collaboration with a team of professionals. The primary objective is to facilitate the installation of low-voltage building automation and HVAC control systems within commercial structures. This role requires a high level of expertise, professionalism, and dedication to ensure the efficient and reliable installation of complex building automation systems in military installations. Your contributions are critical to the success of our projects, and we always expect the highest standards of performance and safety.
Responsibilities
Traveling to multiple states to perform work at various military installations
Installation of conduit up to 1" EMT & Rigid
Installation of low-voltage cabling and sensors
Installation of low-voltage control panels
Wiring and termination of low-voltage control panels and associated devices
Essential Skills
A proven track record with a minimum of 1-3 years in conduit and wire installation within a commercial setting
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints
Willingness to travel full-time
Holding a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to obtain a Secret and/or Top Secret Clearance
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Installation of commercial building automation and HVAC control systems
OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30
Vocational School four-year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience, or ten-plus years’ experience in servicing mechanical equipment control systems in the HVAC industry
Systems integration and development work on Niagara / Tridium based systems
General knowledge of commercial control systems, facilities management systems, energy management practices, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent the company to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner
Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people
Leadership skills to support the activities of Technicians working on complex, critical Building Automation equipment on a job site
PC experience required and the ability to program facility automation controls related software
AutoCAD or similar experience is a plus, but not a requirement

Work Environment
Most of the work is on military bases, requiring the ability to travel frequently. The job involves working with advanced building automation technologies and may require adherence to specific safety and security protocols.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, Alabama.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
