Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO

Description of Duties:

The Windows Systems Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

· Design, implement, and sustain MS Windows based physical and virtual machines for the Missile Defense Space Center

· Work closely with a team of engineers, including additional system administrators, network engineers, system engineers, and cybersecurity engineers, to provide high quality, innovative engineering services to the MDA/SS Government customer

· Perform administration of Microsoft servers, workstations and network infrastructure including troubleshooting, break fix activities, the patching and remediation of servers, workstations and network devices, and system audit log reviews as required

· Conduct daily system monitoring, system backup and restoral, and application upgrades to ensure optimal and continuous system operations

· Develop and maintain system administration procedures and baseline configuration documentation

· Be responsible for ensuring system software installs, maintenance, break fix activities, and cyber security mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements

The successful candidate will:

Here’s what you’ll need :

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 8 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 6 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 2 years of general experience

· Must have 5 years of direct experience

· Experience installing, patching, configuring and troubleshooting MS Windows servers and workstations including associated peripherals

· Current IAT Level II certification (Security or higher)

· Must have active DoD Secret Security Clearance

· Strong technical writing and verbal communications skills

· Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with supervision

Desired Requirements:

· Microsoft WSUS/SCCM experience

· Experience installing, patching, configuring and troubleshooting MS Windows servers and workstations including associated peripherals

· Experience working in a Virtualized Environment

· Experience installing and maintaining Horizon VDI solutions

· Back up / CommVault experience

This position is expected to pay $86,500 - $111,500 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
