The Cyber Operations & Resiliency Department (CORD) focuses on providing cyber engineering support to a variety of US National Security Systems (NSS) cybersecurity capabilities. CORD personnel provide the Aerospace corporation with a staff of cybersecurity engineers for meeting customers' real-time/operational cybersecurity need and this position is focused specifically on engineering support to Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) capabilities of multiple systems within various space segments (e.g., space vehicle, ground station, etc.) as well as NSSs. The Defensive Cybersecurity Engineering Project Leader (Project Leader - Cyber Security Architecture and Information Systems Security) will provide engineering support that entails activities such as architectural design, analysis-of-alternatives, requirements gathering, solution development, implementation, technical support, and program support.

Work Model This is a full-time position based in Colorado Springs, offering a hybrid work model that combines 3 regular onsite workdays and remote flexibility as the business needs allow.

What You'll Be Doing Providing hands-on/direct cyber engineering support to Space and NSS programs and operators Working with other departments in the company, and/or other contract support, and/or Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) to obtain reach back support as necessary Applying your services to a variety of critical Space and NSSs that are under increasing and evolving cyber threats The applicant will need to Operate Strategically, Engage with Impact, Foster Innovation, and Deliver Results in environments that often entail both technical and political challenges

What You Need to be Successful - Project Leader - Cyber Security Architecture and Information Systems Security Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an applicable STEM area 8 years of experience in cybersecurity related positions Hands on/documented experience and proficiency in configuring, installing, and supporting a variety of defensive cybersecurity capabilities (e.g., intrusion detection systems (IDS), security information event management (SIEM) solutions, endpoint detection and response (EDR), etc.) as well as experiencing configuring host systems to generate the necessary audit logs, and experience reviewing logs for signs of anomalous or malicious behavior Willingness to travel occasionally to work location or customer site/domestically/internationally at a rate of up to 2 times a month This position requires a Top Secret security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out It would be impressive if you have one or more of the following: A Masters, PhD degree in in applicable STEM field More than 10 years' experience in cybersecurity related positions Current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) ertifications and/or have undergone focused training on SIEM products, cybersecurity endpoint solutions Experience designing and deploying networks, coding experience, cyber incident response experience, served as an Information System Security Manager (ISSM, or other designated cybersecurity positions), working with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Host Based Security Solution (HBSS), experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation processes, cybersecurity assessment experience, producing RMF related artifacts/policies/guidance, eMASS experience, etc. General Information Technology (IT) experience such as providing systems administration, help desk support, data base administration, software development, writing scripts,...
