Oracle Consulting Project Manager in COLOMBES, France

Job Description

We are growing the business and have an immediate requirement for additional Project Managers who have excellent customer facing skills, coupled with delivery experience ideally using Oracle software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead customer projects in some or or all of the areas of ERP, SCM, OTM, HCM, CX, EPM or Business Analytics.

  • Proven successful delivery of fixed price projects greater 2 M€

  • Proven team leading track record including larger project teams with 20+ team members

  • Work with the Oracle account team to develop quality proposals including project approach, work plans, resource plans.

  • Presales and proposal management experiences for several proposals of fix price projects > 1M€

  • Work closely with the client and project team to assure delivery against key business requirements / scope, time, quality and budget.

  • Work with the customer to define, establish and implement effective and appropriate governance arrangements ensuring that Oracle are represented effectively at all appropriate levels.

  • Work with the Oracle account team to manage and communicate with client stakeholders, acting as the primary interface regarding project delivery.

  • Develop Project Management Plans in conjunction with the client, early in the project lifecycle to set governance standards for delivery.

  • Develop and regularly maintain project work plans, resource plans and project revenue forecasts.

  • Clearly report project status internally and to the client to agreed standards.

  • Work with Oracle Consulting practices, resource managers and offshore teams to fill project resource requirements.

  • Work with Oracle license sales teams, support services and cloud operations teams and global business units to ensure seamless delivery of services.

  • Ensure early visibility of and development of mitigation plans for project risks and issues and track actions.

  • Manage project changes, raising or processing change requests in a timely manner, and working with the Consulting Sales Representative for contract amendments.

  • Setup working approaches and appropriate intervention to maximise quality of engagement work products, solutions, and deliverables.

  • Ensure compliance with Oracle and client policies.

  • Continually contribute to the improvement of Oracle processes and delivery methods (assess, recommend, and implement recommendations).

Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years professional experience in IT and 3-6 years professional experience as Project Manager

  • Ideally experience will be in customer-facing roles, preferably as part of an IT professional services organization.

  • Able to build strong client management relationships.

  • Team player with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills – as comfortable presenting as developing complex technical solutions.

  • Aptitude to work as part of cross line of business teams

  • Experience in working with very senior consultants and architects

  • Able to manage and forecast project revenues and costs

  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and budget to a high quality.

  • Self-motivated, able to thrive in an environment where your next engagement and challenge is not prescribed to you.

  • Energetic and enthusiastic approach to technology, people management and building relationships

  • Willingness to travel and work away from home

  • Fluency in French and English

  • Education:

  • Degree or equivalent experience.

  • Project Management Qualifications desirable, e.g. PRINCE2, PMI
