Overview
Cargo Queueing Control - South Cargo Facility
Provide orderly queueing of cargo delivery trucks in the South Cargo Facility staging area and dispatch trucks to next available dock door for unloading of cargo. Increased efficiency in the flow of traffic to the dock doors will reduce congestion delays at the facility, enhance driver productivity, and improve cargo processing to meet scheduled airline departures.
11pm-7am
The Gate Sentry will be positioned in a guard booth at the main gate to the staging area. As delivery tractor/trailers enter the gate, he will:
• Greet the driver of the vehicle.
• Obtain pertinent information from the driver (name, destination, company name, cell phone number).
• Monitor the Intel-Q Dock Control System to determine availability of docks for cargo unloading:
Continuing to monitor Intel-Q, the Gate Sentry will dispatch trucks queued in the staging area to the next open dock via cell phone call
