Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, JEM Hospitality Ltd. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

This position will be based at the Property Management Headquarters located at 4127 5th Avenue North, St. Petersburg FL 33713.

Scope of Position:

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller for the Hotel Management company of Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, the senior accountant is tasked with ensuring smooth financial reporting and preparation on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis. Adherence to the company’s policies and procedures for all US and Turks & Caicos compliance regulations are essential. The senior accountant will be based at the Company’s headquarters office while working on a daily basis with the Resort’s executive team, stationed in the Turks & Caicos Islands.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee integration of new accounting system

• Oversee general ledger activity and financial statements

• Liaison with Marriott regarding Bonvoy rewards

• Assist with budgeting and flux analysis

• Handle month and year-end close

• Perform bank reconciliations

• Oversee AR and AP

• Other duties as applicable and relevant

• Complies with JEM Worldwide & Luxury Collection by Marriott brand standards, guidelines, policies, procedures and rules. Maintains a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.

Salterra, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa will be an exclusive luxury resort located on the island of South Caicos in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The resort is situated on more than 1200 feet of beachfront and 19 acres of pristine property. Salterra has been imagined by the leading design firm Edge of Architecture and is currently undergoing a US $60M+ redevelopment. The resort will have 100 guest rooms including 54 suites, six F&B outlets ranging from casual to fine dining, a luxury destination spa, and full watersports offerings including scuba diving, private boat charters and flyfishing. Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business-related field required

• 5+ years accounting experience

• Must be well versed in accounting software

• Hospitality accounting experience highly preferred

• Solid technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills required

• Strong attention to detail and superb communications skills required

• Ability to live and work in the United States full time

• Experience with luxury destination resorts in the Caribbean

• Bonvoy Brand Experience (Marriott / The Luxury Collection / Ritz-Carlton / W / etc)

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to speak fluent English

• Proficiency in preparing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Highly competitive rate of up to $80,000-100,000, plus bonus
