Job Title: 2nd Shift Welder
Job Description
We manufacture trailers for military and commercial applications. Our expanding workload is due to recent contracts, ensuring work through 2035. In this position, you will be responsible for fitting parts to print and then MIG welding using the weld symbols on the drawing. You may use a jig to fit up the parts and will perform quality checks using various tools, including micrometers, calipers, and a tape measure. Additionally, you may use a grinder or sander to smooth down the welds. All welds will be inspected by our quality inspector before being sent out, and you will be certified upon hiring to maintain quality standards for the DOD.
Responsibilities
Fit parts to print using provided drawings.
Perform MIG welding using weld symbols on the drawing.
Use jigs to fit parts as needed.
Conduct quality checks with tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
Grind or sand down welds as necessary.
Ensure all welds pass inspection by the quality inspector.
Maintain and uphold DOD quality standards.
Essential Skills
2+ years of MIG welding experience on mild steel.
Ability to read blueprints.
Ability to read weld symbols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with TIG welding.
Experience welding aluminum.

Work Environment
Our culture is friendly and community-oriented, located in a small town with many employees having farming backgrounds. We operate in two buildings: an older, somewhat loud shop where steel welding occurs, and a newer, cleaner shop for assembly, painting, and TIG/aluminum welding.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $27.00/hr.
