School Psychologist LOA Term Position 2025-2026 School Year

    Certifications/Qualifications

  • Valid New York State (NYS) certification as a School Psychologist

  • Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.

  • Experience conducting psychological evaluations, interpreting results, and writing comprehensive reports.

  • Ability to provide individual and group counseling to students with special needs

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.

  • Experience in completing functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans

  • Proficiency in using data to inform decision-making and monitor student progress.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations of students

  • Interpret assessment results and write comprehensive reports that inform educational planning.

  • Chair CSE meetings

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students

  • Facilitate behavioral assessments and intervention plans

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student needs.

  • Participate in school-based teams to support a positive school climate.

  • Provide crisis intervention
