Robert Half Staff Accountant in Cleveland, Ohio
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in CLEVELAND, Ohio, United States. The role will involve a range of responsibilities within a dynamic workplace, where you'll be tasked with ensuring the accurate and compliant management of financial data. The industry you'll be working in is fast-paced and requires a high level of attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of labor costs associated with various projects.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, using skills such as general ledger and journal entries.
• Perform month-end reconciliations of accounts to ensure financial data integrity.
• Process vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and resolve any discrepancies using Accounts Payable (AP) skills.
• Generate and send out invoices to clients, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
• Follow up with customers on outstanding invoices, manage collections, and maintain accurate records of receivables using Accounts Receivable (AR) skills.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Ensure all accounting activities comply with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
• Use various software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks.
• Support payroll functions. Requirements • Must have a strong understanding and practical experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven experience in bank reconciliations is necessary
• Must be proficient in managing General Ledger
• Experience in making Journal Entries is required
• Must be able to handle Month End Close procedures effectively
• Familiarity with NetSuite is a must
• Experience in using Oracle for accounting tasks is necessary
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is required
• Must have a working knowledge of SAP for accounting purposes
• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills
• Should be able to work independently and in a team
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
• Must be committed to continuous learning and professional development
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
