MetroHealth Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner-Infectious Disease in CLEVELAND, Ohio

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

The MetroHealth Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking a highly motivated, adaptable APP interested in joining Infectious Disease Team

We are seeking full-time candidates interested in providing comprehensive sexual health services to men, women and transgender persons including STI testing and treatment; contraception and family planning services; women’s health services; and HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis and risk reduction. The position is offered in conjunction with the City of Cleveland Department of Health, with clinical time spent at both MetroHealth and the Health Department.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

One or more years of patient clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously; capable of providing care without physician supervision although the incumbent will be a part of a team of APRNs in the City Clinics. Preferred certification through a Family (FNP) or Adult Geriatrics (AG) program.

Acute care certification

Required:

·Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Ohio Certificate of Authority as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty.

·Current Basic Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association or undergo provided training within 90 days of hire.

·Meets the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges in the specialty/department with The MetroHealth System and must report to Medical Staff Office at time of hire to apply for clinical privileges

·Maintains a standard care arrangement and renews/signs it as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing Note: Other department specific qualifications for providers will be addressed through the Certificate of Authority and credentialing process.
