Description
We are offering an exciting hybrid opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the dynamic city of Cleveland, Ohio. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, handling the processing of vendor invoices, maintaining a well-organized filing system, and resolving any discrepancies or issues related to vendor payments. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in accounting and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately perform data entry tasks related to vendor invoices.
• Maintain a well-organized and efficient filing system for all accounts payable-related documents.
• Ensure the timely and accurate execution of monthly, quarterly, and year-end activities within the accounts payable environment.
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues vendors or purchasing agents may encounter in obtaining payment for bills.
• Allocate expenses to the correct accounts and cost centers.
• Respond promptly and professionally to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests.
• Assist in reconciling account transactions with the general ledger and bank statement reconciliations.
• Keep abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
• Assist the department in resolving any accounts payable questions and vendor issues as needed.
• Handle other job duties as assigned within the scope of the Accounts Payable Clerk role.
Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.
• Must have solid experience in Accounts Payable (AP).
• Ability to perform efficient and accurate Data Entry.
• Capable of processing invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with SAP software is necessary.
