Summary/Objective

Under general supervision, this position provides scheduling and planning of the work of mechanics, various projects, preventive maintenance and work orders in general through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This position also processes and maintains parts ordering, stockroom inventory, inventory records, mechanical maintenance records, warranties, equipment specifications and documentation, chemical control, and shop tooling.

Essential Functions

  • · Schedule, plan, and forecast maintenance resources, tooling and inventory for preventive maintenance, projects, and daily work packages.

  • · Ensure inventory, inventory cycle accounting, receiving, and purchase requests/order systems run properly.

  • · Oversee maintenance tooling and equipment.

  • · Provide technical support in maintaining the Coswin CMMS systems integrity and operability.

  • · Maintain safety, security and sanitation of the stockroom.

  • · Identify and direct the disposition of obsolete inventory items.

  • · Produce and analyze various reports as requested by Supervision.

  • · Reconcile work performed compared to scheduled resources and consumables.

  • · Ensure all equipment is included in the preventative maintenance program.

  • · Evaluate and update preventative maintenance frequency based upon needs analysis.

  • · Coordinate work tasks with outside contractors and vendors.

  • · Create purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and place vendor orders.

  • · Contact vendors for machine parts to obtain quotes.

  • · Organize and have parts available to make repairs.

  • · Work with the machine operators and mechanics to determine what is needed to complete repairs on the equipment.

  • · Work with the team to drive autonomous maintenance on the production line.

  • · Ensure completion of all preventative maintenance tasks on a daily / weekly basis.

  • · Operate within the repairs and maintenance budget for the production line.

  • · Identify maintenance related issues on the production equipment and create action plans to have them corrected.

  • · Assist with emergency maintenance/technical needs.

  • · Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

  • · Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use fingers to type. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must occasionally lift or move items over 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours may vary depending on the shift and department. Overtime and weekend work are required at times.

Travel

None is required for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of manufacturing industrial maintenance experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)

  • Excellent PC skills, communication, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Solid written and verbal English communication skills

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic to include adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing

  • MS Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experience with Coswin CMMS

Food Safety and Product Quality

This position is responsible for supporting the food safety management system and for communicating food safety issues to the Quality Department.
