Role Definition
This position will be responsible of coordinating and assuring the correct execution of the Caterpillar Quality Management System in the facility. Will serve as the coordinator for CQMS processes and sub-processes at a value stream and facility levels. Performs advanced transactional process reviews and audits to track, analyze, resolve and report on gaps to ensure conformance to company's quality standards (CQMS & Internal Controls).
What you will do:
Identifying, analyzing, and resolving transactional nonconformances and occasionally product nonconformances.
Works with cross functional teams in setting and conducting action plans to close gaps and report glidepath, progress and results to upper management.
Maintaining quality system documentation.
Coordinates teams to fulfill audit requirements through the year and during audit (CQMS/ISO/CAV).
Coordinates the correct execution of other subprocesses such as: Layered Process Audits, Continuous Improvement, Value Stream Certification, KPI, NCM, Quality internal controls (hands on).
Education Requirements:
A conversational level of English is desired.
Completed bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Aeronautics or similar) or in process to be completed (last term) or equivalent experience in similar job duties within a Quality team
What skills the ideal candidate will have:
Quality Management :
Basic knowledge of APQP concepts; PFMEA, Control Plan, SWES, MSA, etc…
Basic knowledge of measurement equipment.
Previously worked with value stream Quality metrics: PPM, FPY, Scrap, BIQ F/N/M.
Understand the Non-Conforming Product Management process.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies :
The candidate must exhibit at least a basic or functional knowledge level of:
Quality software systems: ETQ, SAP, Infinity, AQE.
Engineering drawing reading and 1E spec interpretation.
Casting/Forging common defects and/or Machining/Assembly process.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) :
Utilizes RCA techniques, such as Flowchart, Fish-bone Diagram, etc., to investigate basic problems, determine the causes, and find resolutions.
Extrapolates lessons to be learned to promote the achievement of better consequences.
Basic statistical knowledge.
Additional Information:
This position will be in Cienega de Flores, Nuevo Leon, MX.
Work will start from Monday to Friday but subject to be changed to Monday to Saturday depending on the support requirements for the production line.
International travel is not expected but may be required up to 10% of the time during production line implementation only.
