Job Description:

Technology is crucial for running great restaurants and is a critical element of every major initiative at McDonald’s! Over the next three years, we will modernize much of this technology as we deploy our new Restaurant Platform across the US, including our POS and back-office hardware, network infrastructure, and digital menu board hardware.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to lead the deployment of our restaurant technology platform across all US restaurants over the next three years. This role will oversee three critical initiatives forming the new platform's core, ensuring successful implementation, integration, and adoption. The responsibilities of this position will overlap and integrate to encompass the complete deployment process, starting with restaurant readiness and concluding with the successful deployment of all three initiatives. This role reports to the Director of Technology Deployment.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:

  • Achieve the overall deployment strategy of the new technology platform.

  • Supervise all aspects of deploying up to three critical initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and timelines.

  • Coordinate the rollout schedule, ensuring minimal disruption to restaurant operations.

  • Align deployment plans with organizational goals and timelines.

  • Lead scope, budget, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

  • Supplier/Partner Engagement and Coordination:

  • Engage with and manage the relationship with all required third-party suppliers, supervising supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of products and services.

  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve any issues or delays that arise during the deployment process.

  • Champion strong relationships with suppliers to ensure collaboration and alignment with project goals.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, restaurant owner/operators, and Technology teams, and provide regular updates.

  • Foster strong unions to ensure their needs and expectations are met.

  • Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.

  • Supervise and handle risks to minimize the impact on deployment.

  • Change Management:

  • Aid in developing and implementing an organizational change plan to ensure a smooth transition to the new technology platform.

  • Support training and support to facilitate adoption and minimize disruption.

  • Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor the performance of the new technology platform post-deployment to ensure it meets the desired outcomes.

  • Gather feedback from users and collaborators to identify areas for improvement and drive vital adjustments.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and regularly reviewing processes and outcomes.

The expected salary range for this role is $149,260- $190,310 per year

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven experience leading large-scale technology deployments, preferably in the restaurant or retail industry.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder leadership skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • To be a change agent and have a strong passion for improving the process

  • Retail technology experience with a focus on operations in a highly distributed environment

  • Experienced in IT SDLC phases, finance, vendor management, and global operations.

  • Strong ability to partner, negotiate and influence peers and other technology leaders, leaders from other functions, and owner/operators
