TEKsystems Digital Business Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business processes related to digital marketing and CMS development, identifying opportunities for improvement, and facilitating the implementation of solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of digital marketing operations, CMS platforms, and industry best practices.

  • Requirements Gathering

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for various digital marketing and CMS projects.

  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements.

  • Process Analysis

  • Analyze current business processes within the digital marketing and CMS development spheres to identify inefficiencies and recommend optimization solutions.

  • Conduct regular process reviews to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Data Analysis

  • Utilize data analytics tools to interpret complex data sets related to website performance, user behavior, and digital marketing campaigns.

  • Generate insights to support decision-making processes and enhance marketing strategies.

  • Solution Design

  • Work with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and marketers, to design and implement solutions that meet business needs and improve operational efficiency.

  • Ensure solutions are aligned with best practices in digital marketing and CMS management.

  • Sitemap creation and content inventory

  • Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as a liaison between business units, IT, and clients, ensuring clear and effective communication of requirements and expectations.

  • Project Management

  • Assist in project planning, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.

  • Use project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) to manage tasks and deliverables effectively.

  • Documentation

  • Create detailed documentation, including business requirements documents (BRD), functional specifications, process flows, and user guides.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project-related documentation

  • Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on industry trends, digital marketing advancements, and CMS best practices to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for enhancing business processes and system functionalities.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a business analyst role or similar position, preferably within a digital marketing agency or a CMS development environment.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Hotjar, Tag Manager, Google Looker Studio)

  • Experience with CMS platforms (Drupal, WordPress), Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence), and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).

  • Analytical Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

Communication

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Certifications

  • Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) are desirable but not required.

  • Google certifications are desirable but not required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms.

  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering business solutions on time and within budget.

  • Business Analysis and/or Agile certifications are highly desirable.

  • Consulting experience
