POSITION CONTRIBUTION: The Records Clerk - Intake position processes incoming documents and correspondence as a result of record requests and client provided documents. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · Uses propriety software to process incoming documents from electronic work queues, reviewing records received to identify the correct location, and imports records accordingly based on project rules. · Accesses electronic portals and web sites to download records when informed of availability. · Receives and processes incoming legal documents. · Corresponds with other departments regarding issues with records requests. · Provides quality reviews on global safety information and prepares shipment information as needed for the client. · Technical liaison to I.T. in testing new software applications and hardware. Additional Responsibilities (when assigned) ¨ Move images based on request, edit and update Case Activity in LMIS, renumber of images after move is performed, Page redactions (Image Move). ¨ Provide QA of image review and process. ¨ Work on special projects and miscellaneous office duties as assigned. Fiscal Accountability: · Compile and report all timekeeping activities accurately and promptly · Adhere to productivity and quality standards developed for this position · Use resources efficiently for timely processing of incoming and outgoing mail Client Relations/Services: · Works with Litigation Managers, Litigation Specialists and Case Coordinators as needed to ensure client needs are met including accurate processing of mail Vendor Relations/Services: · Maintains and promote regular, open, direct communications with vendors including, but not limited to, copy services, offsite storage facility and vendors who support equipment used for processing of incoming and outgoing mail. Education/Experience: · High School diploma or equivalent required · Medical or legal terminology or knowledge a plus · Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and internet research and basic proficiency in MS Excel · Ability to identify components of a legal and medical record Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: · Detail oriented · Accurate data entry skills · Professional written and verbal communication skills · Ability to apply critical thinking and make independent decisions · Deductive reasoning skills · Ability to follow directions accurately · Demonstrated initiative and independence · Research and investigative skills · Strong customer service orientation · Ability to comply with privacy and security policies and procedures · Working knowledge of electronic communications and internet. · Working knowledge of business equipment, (i.e. fax, copier, etc.)  <
