Now Hiring: Forklift Operator
Job Description
As a Forklift Operator, you will load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant or work site, performing various warehouse operations. You will operate a bagging machine following established safety and operations procedures. You will also operate a sit down forklift. You will prepare products or materials for shipment by assembling or selecting appropriate size shipping containers and properly packing items to ensure damage-free delivery. Additionally, you will perform basic maintenance tasks on machines, including troubleshooting and small repairs with assistance from maintenance staff.
Responsibilities
Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
Load hoppers with product for processing in robot bagging machine.
Operate forklift to move material to designated locations to facilitate packaging.
Inspect material handling equipment for defects and perform minor maintenance.
Assist with loading pallets into trucks or on flatbeds.
Assist in counting physical inventory.
Maintain a neat and clean work area by disposing of waste materials, cardboard, or packing materials and stacking pallets.

High school diploma or GED (required)
2-4 years of recent and relevant experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial environment

Work Environment
You will be working in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment that stores and distributes garnet abrasive products, which can be dusty. The shift is from M-F 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
