We are seeking a highly self-motivated and detail-oriented HR Operations Specialist to join our Human Relations team. The ideal candidate has excellent problem-solving skills and is a team player.
THE POSITION
The HR Operations Specialist provides primary customer support to employees and HR team members with regards to personnel actions, organizational changes and payroll.
The position is responsible for management of personnel data and reporting within the SAP HR system, SuccessFactors’s Employee Central, Ceridian Dayforce and other ancillary HR systems / tools. Additionally, the HR Operations Specialist will have responsibility for a designated specialty area(s) such as Relocation, KPI tracking, Data Replication, International Assignments, Unemployment Insurance Administration, Time & Attendance, etc.
Payroll responsible for Chatham location
Provide basic coaching to management acting as HR Generalist and ensures timely, effective execution of all local operational HR related work (i.e. onboarding and placement, transfer and separation, local organizational communications, employee relations, HR KPI’s and monthly reporting)
Interacts with customers in person, via teams, electronic mail, or service tickets to answer questions and provide assistance in the completion of standardized HR transactions
Responds to and provides direction to employees on human relation issues such as employee concerns, benefit inquiries, harassment and discrimination complaints
Documents all contacts, interactions and outcomes within the Ticket Management software
Continuously monitors quality and quick turnover of performed tasks and ensures high quality
Inputs and audits required data into the HR system for maintaining; payroll, organizational management, recruiting, Global HR System, etc.
Performs complex data maintenance of personnel master data within the SuccessFactors’s Employee Central systems, SAP HR and Ceridian Dayforce
Uses independent judgement and available resources to determine appropriate methods for recording actions and ensuring data integrity
Receives employee and HR inquiries regarding HR and Payroll related matters. Independently researches and resolves inquiries, demonstrating a high degree of responsiveness, accuracy and integrity. Actions to resolve inquiries may frequently require engagement of internal resources from various departments as well as external vendors, service providers and/or consultants
Prepares and executes pre-payroll audit reviews to assure compliance with stated policies and procedures
Coordinates Technical Payroll to confirm and reconcile forecasted payroll results each pay period. Oversight of gross payroll ranging from $800k – $900k per processing period
Assists in development of management reporting requirements; prepares, audits and issues recurring and ad-hoc reports from various systems
Participates in special projects / project teams as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Associate Degree is business or a related field
3+ years of experience in a HR role with a focus on payroll and data administration
Microsoft Office Proficiency (Excel, Powerpoint)
Experience with HCM and Technical Payroll processing systems (ex. Ceridian Dayforce or SuccessFactors platforms)
Experience with ticketing systems (ex. C4C, ServiceNow or other market standards)

This position is an in-office role that will require daily presence in our Chatham, ON location
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of experience in a HR Service Center role with a focus on payroll and data administration, 7 years preferred
Certified Payroll Professional (PCP)
Sufficient process knowledge and payroll ability
Experience with HCM and Technical Payroll processing systems (ex. Ceridian Dayforce or SuccessFactors platforms)
Analytical skills (theory and application, including intermediate Excel) in order to troubleshoot incidents and help process improvement teams
Employee Central experience
SAP R/3 HR- Current Release experience
