Position Summary:

This Sr. Project Manager will lead the development and execution of strategic restructuring and business transition projects within IA. The projects consist of acquisition integrations, manufacturing site repositioning, footprint consolidations and rationalizations, establishing global centers of excellence, global business enterprise moves, and insourcing and outsourcing projects to meet strategic plan objectives. This role will be responsible for leading projects in accordance with Honeywell’s Standard Transitions Process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead global cross-functional teams to identify, develop, scope, model, and resource strategic business transformation projects.

  • Deliver projects on budget, on schedule with identified financial benefits.

  • Conduct robust due diligence and deliver flawless project execution.

  • Translate strategic plans into actionable projects with accurate costs, schedule and benefits.

  • Ensure global use of practical, effective tools and techniques (Standard Transitions Process) to manage the implementation of business transformation projects.

  • Manage project charters, risk and mitigation plans, project schedules, financial targets, costs and savings calculations and methodology, periodic and recurring business reviews, executive leadership briefings, resource planning, change management plans, employee relations plans, roles and responsibilities matrices, stage-gate based implementation methodologies, conflict resolutions plans and service level agreements in order to guarantee success.

Essential Competencies

Project Management: Manage cross-functional teams to define and execute project scope and deliver actions on-time and on-budget. Uses Honeywell Standard Transitions Process to manage projects. Manages costs and schedule, understands status of a project at any point in time. Effectively escalates risk to schedule and cost to mitigate impact.

Project Complexity: Ability to manage and execute projects across multiple businesses, product lines, and regions. Solving large scale problems with strategies that include multiple projects, multiple workstreams and spans multiple sites or SBG's.

Business and Finance Acumen: Knowledge of and experience with financial data and the overall business portfolio. Financial knowledge to include an understanding of project cost/savings, business P&L, product cost, and gross profit. PM can connect the project to the respective GBE’s STRAP/AOP/Budgets.

Effective Communications Provides timely, clear and concise information to all levels of the organization. Shares complex info succinctly; adapts content and level of detail appropriate for targeted audience. Articulates trade-offs and business case scenarios visually in PowerPoint. Demonstrates a confident and collaborative leadership presence. Courageously addresses challenging topics.

Drives Accountability: Translates plans into actions and leads self and others at all levels of the organization to execute on key deliverables to meet budget and schedule.

Influence without Authority Leads key stakeholders in understanding priorities and decisions and effectively addressing business concerns to an appropriate outcome. YOU MUST HAVE

  • A minimum of 8 years progressive experience required

  • 2+ years of experience independently managing complex and high value projects at an enterprise level or relevant leadership roles that include oversite of projects. This includes defining scope, budget, financial payback, Integrated Project Plans, Action tracking and managing core and steering team.

  • 2+ years of experience developing and delivering presentations to a VP level audience including financial models demonstrating various scenarios, inputs, and potential outcomes that enable strategic decision making

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance, or other technical/analytical discipline

  • An MBA is preferred but this can be substituted with relevant experience and ability.

  • Demonstrated record of on-time and on-budget project and/or program management execution (capital, technology, marketing, etc).
