Learning and Development Leader

The Learning and Development Leader is a strategic and hands on role leading the execution of the talent strategy for bankwide talent, learning and development programs and practices to build a culture of excellence in a high-growth, multi-state environment. The leader in this role will have a solution-oriented mindset and an ability to drive the creation of new ways of learning while understanding best practices. The role ensures human capital is positioned for success by delivering a comprehensive talent program. This role also partners with leaders in the business and HR to provide thought leadership and manage the activities involved in the delivery of talent programs that support associates with a "whole career growth" approach and provides opportunities for associates to exceed in their current roles and accelerate their careers. Creating and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders involving leadership in the business, HR and second and third-line partners, are critical to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manages the day-to-day activities involved in the strategic design, preparation, and delivery of talent, learning and development programs that empower associates to develop the capabilities they need to be successful in the future.

  • Collaborates with business management, HRBPs, Compliance and HR leadership to understand the bank’s goals then drives the design and evaluation of talent, learning and development programs through metrics and insights to align with overarching organizational growth.

  • Identifies optimal solutions that meet the learning and development needs of associates by recommending programs, learning paths and delivery modules based on specific needs, while understanding best practices and methods of adult learning.

  • Evaluates and drives the success of the bank’s learning eco system (people, processes and technology) and establishes and measures learning program effectiveness.

  • Drives execution, evaluation, and enhancement of aligned programs (learning, associate and manager development, performance, goal setting, succession planning, talent assessment, early talent, onboarding, required training and mentorship programs) and policies on an ongoing basis to include annual needs assessments.

  • Leads a team of learning and development professionals responsible for talent management, development programs, instructional design, learning consulting and facilitation.

  • Ensures the successful delivery of required training in partnership with Compliance and business content owners.

  • Ensures that all HR related administrative forms, reports, processes and audits are completed accurately, timely and in compliance with relevant local, state, federal and provincial regulations for HR recordkeeping, audits and compliance.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • Experience managing learning and development and talent management teams

  • Financial services experience preferred

  • Strong Microsoft office skills to include PowerPoint

  • Experience with Franklin Covey and LinkedIn Learning a plus

Hybrid work is a minimum of four days a week, one flexible day for remote work.

Pay Range $157,300 to $212,700
