Whitewater Center Carpenter in Charlotte, North Carolina
[The Carpenter at Whitewater works in a small crew or alone to construct, install, troubleshoot, and repair structures with a focus on enabling a high-quality guest experience. The Carpenter is responsible for performing skilled carpentry work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of structures and fixtures in accordance with standard practice of the trade. This is a full-time, benefits eligible, on-site role that reports to the Maintenance Manager. [Responsibilities]{calibri="" light=""}]{calibri="" light=""}
- Construct, install and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, ipe, fiberglass, plastic, metal, and other materials.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials using hand and power tools.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Follow safety processes and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of different carpentry techniques and construction methods.
- Attention to detail and precision.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools that are common to the carpentry trade.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and during Whitewater events as needed.

- Must be able to safely self-transport over uneven terrain or in a confined space.
- Must be able to stand for sustained periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and move at least 50+ pounds.
- Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Must be able to work outdoors for sustained periods of time under varying weather conditions.
- All positions at Whitewater require employees to report and work onsite at Whitewater locations.
