Boise Cascade Company Forklift Operator - FORKL004134 in Chapman, Alabama

  1. Completes mobile equipment report at the beginning of the shift, notify Supervisor about any problems
  2. Cleans and blows down forklift at the end of the shift
  3. Demonstrates knowledge of forklift rules
  4. Stacks and marks units neatly, with proper crossout placement and in proper rows
  5. Observes for any mechanical problems with forklifts and reports them to the shift Supervisor
  6. Keeps shifts wood separated by thickness
  7. Keeps Dry Veneer warehouse organized
  8. Ensures Composers do not run out or block out at any time
  9. Assists in loading and unloading Lay-up Line and Presses, as needed
  10. Properly marks all loads of core
  11. Ensures proper rotation of veneer stock
  12. Breaks out Composer Operators during shift
  13. Ensures core saw area is kept clean
  14. Ensures all reclaim buggies are kept empty and all usable veneer is reclaimed
  15. Keeps 4x4 runners picked up off the floor
  16. Provides input to supervisor on any mechanical issues
  17. Looks for ways to improve efficiency and uptime and makes recommendations to Supervisor
  18. Sweeps up saw dust and veneer scraps with a push broom
  19. Picks up scraps of veneer with shovel, rake, or by hand
  20. Paints various plant equipment and materials (barriers, framework, guards, etc.)
  21. Mops floors, scrubs sinks, toilets, water fountains, and other equipment with brushes and rags
  22. Washes windows using brushes and rags
  23. Keeps the trash dumpster in front of the break room empty
  24. Follows Company policies, procedures and safety rules
