ManTech Senior Systems Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team on-premises in Chantilly, VA. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the engineering and development of LAN/WAN-based and remote user solution, upgrades and additions
Develop concepts and solutions, test components and systems, document systems, provide planning services, and integrate approved solutions
Analyze technologies to determine best match to requirements, provide recommendations, support budget analysis and planning, and support managing projects during the system life cycle of program systems
Prepare, manage, review, and provide quality control assessment system accreditation approval packages with full documentation of hardware and software configurations
Plan, test, and integrate solutions approved by the Government
Coordinate with service providers to determine and implement services
Application development, Wed development, integration, and enhancements
Technology studies, analysis, reports, and Integration, Validation, and Verification (IV&V)
Support software development for existing applications and other tools necessary to support each effort
Quality control of development processes, and system life cycle support
Diagnosing and resolving the performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the systems
Investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel
Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accomplish repetitive tasks
Up to 10% local travel
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science, or related technical field; Additional 4 years systems engineer experience might be substituted for a degree
4+ years of related systems engineering experience
DoD 8570.1 / DoD 8140.01 certification (IAT Level II)
Experience with VMware virtualization technologies
Experience in engineering and administrative activities with virtualized environments
Clearance Requirements:
US Citizenship required, and active Top Secret clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years.
Candidate must be open to polygraph if selected by the customer
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
