Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Writer to join our team to provide the United States Marine Corps advanced Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) capabilities! In this role you will get to advise management on and oversees the development and publication of security policies, standard operating procedures, documents, papers, and other information. Uses grammar references and agency communications policy

Must reside within 50 miles of the Fredericksburg Va office location. The work schedule will be a hybrid of in office and remote. Some work will be conducted at Summit Point, WV and Dahlgren , Va. There may be occasional CONUS travel to support project work.

What You'll Be Doing:

· Documentation Creation: Develop, write, and edit technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, system specifications, briefings, and training materials.

· Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, developers, and project managers to gather information and ensure the accuracy of documentation.

· Content Management: Maintain and update existing documentation to reflect changes in products, processes, and standards.

· Quality Assurance: Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, content, format, and style

· User-Centric Writing: Ensure all documentation is user-friendly and meets the needs of the intended audience.

· Research: Conduct research to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, concise documentation.

· Tools and Technology: Utilize various documentation tools and software to create and manage technical content.

· Standards Compliance: Ensure all documentation complies with relevant industry standards and regulations.

· Perform other writing duties as assigned

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

· Active DoD Secret clearance

· 3-5 yrs overall experience and Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

· Minimum of 4, years of demonstrated experience in technical writing, reviewing and/or editing of technical documentation in business, government, or industry. Ability to assist the author with data review and accurately communicate analytical conclusions.

· Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

· Demonstrated formal editing experience.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to various audiences.

· Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Salary Range:

$29.42 - $51.49
