Douglas County Government Traffic Services Supervisor in Castle Rock, Colorado
OVERVIEW:
This is administrative and supervisory work to direct the schedules and activities of the Traffic Services (Signs & Markings) Unit in the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department. This requires leadership and communication skills and includes planning, organizing, and supervising the technical and skill activities required for public safety in the areas of signing, striping, and pavement markings. This position is in the Traffic Services (Signs & Markings) Unit of the Engineering Division, which is under the Traffic Engineering / Traffic Operations Manager of the Public Works Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or GED. Five years of experience or education involving the MUTCD including the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of traffic control devices, such as signing, striping, and pavement markings, including two years of supervisory experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:
Possession of a CDL Class B' (Class A' preferred) driver's license ATTSA or IMSA Traffic Control Technician (TCT) and Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) Certifications IMSA Level I, II, & III (preferred) - Signs & Markings Certifications IMSA Level I Signals Certification A combination of training certifications from providers other than ATTSA and IMSA may be considered.
