Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the ASU/PACU Manager, facilitates and coordinates patient services specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. He/she ensures that quality services are provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. He/she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Graduate
Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
Work Experience: Minimum 2 years prior computer-data entry skills preferred - Prior medical setting experience in physician office, hospital etc. preferredWorking Conditions:
Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Some occupational risk
Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
