Job Title: Medical Device Assembler

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Device Assembler to join our team. You will be responsible for the manufacturing of medical devices, including catheter assembly under a microscope. This position requires adherence to strict quality and safety standards to ensure the integrity of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance, Work Instructions, assembly methods, product handling methods, production drawings, Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety requirements.

  • Successfully complete training on production tasks. Understand travelers/routers, how to identify materials, use a microscope, and use production/inspection tools and equipment needed for product builds.

  • Operate tools and equipment, and complete documentation as required.

  • Perform equipment set-up, operation, and in-process inspection to accomplish assigned tasks.

  • Work directly with Engineers and Supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality are met at all times.

  • Assist Engineers in developing process documentation.

  • Perform inventory counts.

  • Other duties as assigned, receiving verbal instructions regarding tasks to be performed.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of medical device assembly and production or small electronics experience.

  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing/production environment or prototyping experience.

  • Prior experience with catheter product manufacturing is a plus.

  • Use of required safety equipment when performing lab work.

  • Experience with microscopes and medical device assembly.

  • Prior cleanroom experience.

  • Ability to understand and perform in-process inspections to assure workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using EFD dispensers and UV curing systems.

  • Experience working with adhesives, such as different types of Loctite.

  • Excellent communication skills.

Work Environment

You will be working in a cleanroom environment with 4 openings available on the 2nd shift. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can excel in this role and contribute to our team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
