Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Carlsbad, California
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Carlsbad, California. This role is in the telecom industry and will involve handling various accounting tasks such as invoice processing, account reconciliation, and vendor management.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices for goods and services
• Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers, ensuring timely and accurate payments
• Reconcile AP sub-ledger accounts to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Maintain and update vendor files, respond to vendor inquiries, and resolve payment discrepancies promptly
• Ensure all AP activities are compliant with company policies, SOX regulations, and other relevant financial controls
• Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals
• Generate and analyze AP aging reports, cash requirements forecasts, and other financial reports as needed
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the AP function
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Accounting Functions
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
• Familiarity with Check Processing
• Data Entry skills
• Ability to handle Discrepancies
• Experience with Oracle software
