Floor Tech - Port Canaveral
SUMMARY:
Perform Floor Technician duties at Port Canaveral. Reports to the site leadership team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform specified floor custodial work according to time schedules which may include:
- mopping floors
- polishing, stripping, and waxing floors
- shampooing carpets
- May be required to move furniture when performing floor custodial work.
- Maintain supplies and equipment under established procedures.
- Perform other specified floor custodial tasks as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Six months experience with floor care work.
- Background screening for access to the work areas.
- Pre-employment drug test.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years' experience with floor care work preferred.

SAFETY and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Tasks are regularly performed in both climate-controlled areas and areas that have no air conditioning or heat with possible exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
- Use any personal protective (safety) equipment as designated properly and consistently.
- Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards).
- Required inoculations and training provided by the company.
- Some tasks may be performed independently with little supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following: repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to40 pounds.These requirements can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:
Obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) badge which requires US Citizenship or non-US Citizen that has the necessary level of work authorization.
SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Some tasks require manual dexterity, In addition to visual and hearing acuity.
Availability:
Full time: Must include flexibility to work weekends and holidays to fulfill contract needs.
Pay:$16.50/Hour
