The position

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, the Marketing Manager is a key member of the marketing team responsible for overseeing a variety of marketing campaigns across a variety of channels. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that increase brand awareness, customer engagement, loyalty and drive online and retail store traffic in line with brand vision and business strategy. 

The Marketing Manager works in a Hybrid capacity from our Workshop in Canmore, Alberta. 

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve business objectives. 

  • Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, social media, and events. 

  • Manage and enhance the brand’s positioning, messaging, and visual identity to ensure consistency and differentiation in the marketplace.  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including, Merchandising, Product Development, Retail, Ecommerce, Customer Service, and Production, to align marketing strategies with business goals. 

  • Manage the creative briefing process to ensure integrated marketing programs adhere to both brand and marketing objectives. 

  • Project management to ensure timely and successful completion of all marketing initiatives.  

  • Manage the marketing budget and ensure all marketing activities are cost-effective. 

  • Determine, monitor, and analyze campaign and program KPIs and make data-driven recommendations to optimize future campaigns. 

  • Develop and present performance reports, including insights for leadership teams. 

  • Present marketing plans for campaigns and programs and report on performance to senior stakeholders. 

    Does this sound like you?

  • A minimum of 5-7 years’ marketing experience in retail and/or CPG, with at least 2 years in a managerial position

  • University degree in marketing or communications

  • Proven track record of developing and executing marketing campaigns

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex problems

  • Passion for brand building and delighting consumers

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.  

  • Strong understanding of marketing metrics and analytics, and experience using data to inform decisions

  • Experience managing budgets 

  • Ability to create structure and process where it currently does not exist

  • Proactive and collaborative style with the ability to work independently and as part of a high performing team

  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
