Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Canastota, New York. The job function revolves around the management of customer credit applications and records, working within the telecommunications industry. The workplace setting will be a dynamic and fast-paced environment where the ability to accurately manage and resolve credit inquiries is crucial.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and prepare detailed estimates of customer credit applications
• Review and understand project plans to ensure bid requirements are met
• Provide all necessary information to other team members during the bid process
• Estimate time, labor, material, and product costs to determine overall cost for project
• Prepare written proposals, cost estimates, budgets and updates for clients and other stakeholders
• Coordinate, communicate and develop relationships with clients, vendors, consultants, contractors, engineers, and project team members
• Handle material ordering and distribution of drawings to proper personnel and other related tasks
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, Great Plains (GPAC), Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, billing functions, and check processing. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with Concur
• Knowledge in Great Plains (GPAC)
• Competency in Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Capable of performing Billing Functions
• Experience with Check Processing
