Amentum Event Coordinator in Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii
Amentum is seeking a seasoned Event Coordinator with planning and administrative experience supporting U.S. Government and/or Department of Defense events and engagements. This position will directly support U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Public Affairs Office at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.
Specific duties include:
Work closely with event Point of Contact (POC) to coordinate all event details, to include meals, transportation, event set-up, lodging, media and access to the site
Create complex budget estimates
Develop a breadth of knowledge in all areas of event management to make recommendations to enhance the events
Communicate effectively, utilizing both in written and verbal communication, to coordinate requirements
Work closely with other fulfillment teams to plan and coordinate requirements to meet or exceed customer expectations
Assist in trouble-shooting issues as they arise
Utilize multiple computer systems and databases to fulfill requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or 5 years related experience in event coordination in lieu of degree
At least 5 years of experience in supporting government-sponsored events and coordinating meetings of varying sizes
Ability to prepare and manage event-related budgets effectively
Experience working with foreign governments and coordinating with vendors to ensure smooth operations and service delivery
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience working with senior leadership in fast paced environments
Must possess a SECRET security clearance. Note: U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a DoD security clearance
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Maintain a professional and courteous attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
Possesses a Top-Secret clearance
2 years’ experience supporting DoD Public Affairs organizations
5 years' experience working in the USINDOPACOM AOR
5 years’ experience planning and executing large scale DoD events overseas
Current Project Management Professional Certification
The salary range for this position is $100K to $145K. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
